In 2024, CarolinaCAN continued to work to create more educational opportunities for students across our state. In 2024, we accomplished the following wins:
CarolinaCAN built on last year’s win of a statewide ESA by passing an over $450 million expansion of the program to clear the 55,000 students on the waiting list and recurring funding for the program.
CarolinaCAN worked to remove unnecessary teacher license credential barriers that prevent more minorities from entering the profession by eliminating the PRAXIS test as a prerequisite to continue within the college of education.
